For the past two years I have been working on an event that has been 50+ years in the making and I finally get to let it out of the bag. Projec1VOICE is planning a three-city event that will celebrate the legacy of the classic Negro Ensemble Company (the Douglas Turner Ward years) and its three co-founders--Robert Hooks, Gerald Krone and Douglas Turner Ward. We are taking this event which celebrates the groundbreaking 50+ year legacy of this visionary triumvirate to three cities Los Angeles Saturday, September 23
NYC Monday October 2 at the Schomburg with all-three founders and a reunion of NYC area classic NEC alumni.
ATL: Tuesday, October 25 at Emory University with Mr. Hooks, Mr. Ward and ATL area classic NEC alumni.
